Nizhnekamsk Refinery Sulphur Recovery Unit

WorleyParsons undertook the Basic Engineering Design for three Sulphur Recovery Units at the Nizhnekamsk Refinery. Fuel gas containing H2S streams produced by process units will be treated in Amine absorbers OSBL. Rich amine will be sent to amine regeneration located next to Claus unit in order to limit the piping full of H2S for safety consideration. Clean amine will be sent back to each consumer. Each of three Sulphur Recovery Units is constituted of the Claus plant itself followed by a Tail Gas Treatment Unit (TGTU). The same amine (MDEA 50% wt) is used in all these process facilities. The liquid sulphur degassing unit, thermal incinerator and stack are common to all three Sulphur Recovery Units.
